What is an Exercise Physiologist?

Exercise physiologists are health professionals who specialise in the benefits of exercise in ensuring fitness and good health, as well as helping to treat certain medical conditions. An exercise physiologist has a wide range of knowledge about the human body and the benefits of exercise, both physically and mentally.

Exercise physiologists prescribe exercise courses for maintaining fitness or for rehabilitation. Exercises include pilates, home or gym-based exercise routines or behavioural modification programs. 

Where do Exercise Physiologists Practice?

Exercise physiologists can work in the following areas:
